Self-conscious about lines, wrinkles, and other signs of aging? With Botox and facial esthetics, Cedar Avenue Family Dentistry can help you look and feel your best.
Almost anyone can get Botox and facial esthetics at our office. As long as you’re healthy and do not have any conditions that would affect the safety or effectiveness of Botox, you’re a good candidate for treatment. So if you have fine lines, wrinkles, crow’s feet, or other signs of aging, Botox from Cedar Avenue Family Dentistry may be right for you. Contact us today to schedule a consultation with Dr. Madison Kurz or Dr. Kevin Chittenden.
Botox works by partially paralyzing some of your facial muscles. This causes them to relax, smoothing out fine lines and wrinkles on your face.

Since we offer Botox at our office, you can schedule Botox injections when you’re due for other treatments, such as a six-month oral exam and teeth cleaning at Cedar Avenue Family Dentistry. This makes it easier to look and feel your best.
As Flagstaff dentists, Dr. Chittenden and Dr. Kurz are deeply familiar with facial anatomy. That means that they can deliver more effective care, and ensure that you get the best possible results with the most minimal Botox injections.
Your comfort is our priority at Cedar Avenue Family Dentistry. With amenities like our coffee station, video streaming in every room, warm towels, and more, you can get a spa-like experience. And with our highly-skilled dental team, you can always feel safe throughout the treatment process.
First, you’ll meet with Dr. Kurz or Dr. Chittenden to see if you're a good candidate for Botox. If you’re approved, they’ll develop a treatment plan that will maximize the effectiveness of your Botox injections.
Your dentist will thoroughly clean the treatment areas. Botox is typically painless, but our team may also numb the area with a topical anesthetic for your comfort. Once the area is prepped, your injections can begin.
Your dentist will use an extremely thin needle with a tiny amount of Botox. They will inject it into carefully-selected areas to maximize its effects. Botox injections are usually done on the forehead, near the eyes, and between the eyebrows.
You’ll need to follow some recovery steps, like avoiding exercise and alcohol for at least 24 hours. Dr. Chittenden or Dr. Kurz will give you a full list of recovery instructions. You’ll usually start to see results within 1-2 weeks of your injections.

The answer is different for everyone, but most people see maximum results for about 3-4 months. In some patients, maximum results may only last two months, while others may be able to go more than six months between injections. With the help of Dr. Chittenden and Dr. Kurz, you can determine an injection schedule that’s right for your particular needs, and for your budget, too.
