First, you’ll meet with Dr. Kurz or Dr. Chittenden to see if you're a good candidate for Botox. If you’re approved, they’ll develop a treatment plan that will maximize the effectiveness of your Botox injections.
Your dentist will thoroughly clean the treatment areas. Botox is typically painless, but our team may also numb the area with a topical anesthetic for your comfort. Once the area is prepped, your injections can begin.
Your dentist will use an extremely thin needle with a tiny amount of Botox. They will inject it into carefully-selected areas to maximize its effects. Botox injections are usually done on the forehead, near the eyes, and between the eyebrows.

You’ll need to follow some recovery steps, like avoiding exercise and alcohol for at least 24 hours. Dr. Chittenden or Dr. Kurz will give you a full list of recovery instructions. You’ll usually start to see results within 1-2 weeks of your injections.
The answer is different for everyone, but most people see maximum results for about 3-4 months. In some patients, maximum results may only last two months, while others may be able to go more than six months between injections. With the help of Dr. Chittenden and Dr. Kurz, you can determine an injection schedule that’s right for your particular needs, and for your budget, too.
